Spring Rolls


  • ½ lb minced pork
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1 small red bell pepper, cut in thin slices
  • 4 green onions, chopped
  • ¼ lb bean sprouts
  • 6 lettuce leaves, shredded
  • 2 teaspoons cornstarch mixed with 1 tablespoon water
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • ½ teaspoon sugar
  • 1 lb Lilas Thick Fillo Dough Wrappers
  • Vegetable oil for frying


  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil, add pork and cook until no longer pink. Add peppers and onions, cook 3 minutes. Stir in bean sprouts, lettuce and cornstarch and water mixture.
  2. Stir in soy sauce and sugar. Cool.
  3. Place 2 tablespoons of filling at one corner of Lilas Fillo Dough Wrapper. Fold end over filling, tuck sides and roll up. Add water to seal.
  4. Heat oil to 350oF, add spring rolls, a few at a time and cook until golden.
