Cheese Cigars


  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1 cup crumbled Greek Feta
  • 1 small onion grated
  • ½ cup freshly chopped parsley
  • 1 egg
  • 1 cup canola oil 
  • 12 Thick Fillo Dough Wrappers


  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large mixing bowl.
  2. Place 2 tablespoons of mixture on bottom third of Thick Fillo Dough Wrapper, keeping ½ inch on both sides.
  3. Fold top of Thick Fillo Dough Wrapper tightly over filling and then fold in both sides.
  4. Roll up filling to bottom of Thick Fillo Dough Wrapper and add warm water with fingers to seal.
  5. Heat oil to 350F and fry cigars, a few at a time, until golden, turning once.
